For
some years I felt rather left out because as I remember although my
earlier fights before 1960 were quite timid through my character then ring-shy with no
killer instinct as its known in boxing (or was).
However
I certainly provided a lot of excitement during the year of 1960.
I
was billed for the main support fight from the pick of
Australia's Budding Champions seen in the Billings Section 16-12-1960, Cec Rogers and I provided the most thrilling fight of the night
and it made headlines.
In
that year I was awarded most improved fighter of the year.

Most
of my 11 opponents in the same year were knocked down for counts once or
more times during these bouts. Many
of my opponents are included in the publications however I missed out.
